I included a short little video that I took above showing the usual Oktoberfest merriment that you can expect.
Also we just booked a beach vacation to the Canary Islands for Thanksgiving with our friends in Oxford. I can't wait!
We had our first house guest last night. It was a rainy yucky day, but our plans turned out better than we had hoped. A nearby town of Mainz was hosting its own Oktoberfest so we decided to check it out. It was a real authentic mini-Oktoberfest. It was only one tent, versus the many of the Munich celebration, but it was perfect for being just a short drive away.

Towards the house anyways...
We hung a few more things with Jason's new power tool (a concrete drill - picture Tim the Toolman doing his Argh Argh noise). The giant boxes that contain our Ikea wardrobes are still in the middle of our bedroom floor, but these new shelves in our kitchen were a nice check off the list! Fingers crossed the mugs don't come crashing down in the night! We have our first house guest coming on Friday, one of Jason's old classmates from Georgia, so our goal is to get the wardrobes built sometime this week! Some photos from our visit to the Wiesbaden Fall festival last weekend. I'm also glad to report that Pumpkin Spice Latte's have finally come to Europe as well. Whew! |
